Rest assured, we make an unwavering promise: Sawdust & Embers will never incorporate parabens or any undesirable preservatives into our creations. Our choices to include what might be deemed "unnatural" ingredients are underpinned by the sole purpose of ensuring safe and superior burn quality.

Precious Essential Oils

Certain essential oils, such as sandalwood, rosewood, and ambergris, come at a significant environmental cost due to their challenging and unsustainable harvesting practices. In such cases, we opt for alternative natural and man-made ingredients that are more eco-conscious.

Synthetic Aromas

In some instances, synthetic aromas prove indispensable. Aldehydes, for instance, enable us to replicate fragrances like blueberries or cotton candy, which cannot be achieved through natural means. Calone allows us to infuse our candles with the refreshing scent of the ocean, while Ion-ones create remarkably lifelike violet and iris aromas.

Aroma-Chemicals

Some aroma-chemicals serve as synthetic counterparts to essential oils. Take, for example, isoeugenol, which replaces eugenol found in essential oils like clove and cinnamon.
